We stayed at Miami Hotel Melbourne. This was more of a hostel, but was super clean and the communal courtyard at the centre has some urban street art murals taking up the whole side of the building.

Victoria State Library
You’ve probably seen this gorgeous library all over social media – it’s free to enter and see for yourself too!
Arts District – Princess Theatre
There are multiple theatres around here with plenty of shows but the Princess Theatre is the oldest entertainment site in Australia.
Here we saw Harry Potter: The Cursed Child – absolutely awesome whether you’re a fan of Harry Potter or not! There’s use of illusion magic throughout the show so it really does become magical and I was stunned by just how much the theatre space itself is used for effects.

Victoria Markets
This market has everything and is so large you could easily spend half the day here. Also a great spot for souvenirs, but we also managed to find many cheap boardgames and an interesting bottle of gin.
Food & Drink in Melbourne
Fortress
This the place for any gamers out there. Levels from a game store, to gaming arena, computer cafe and my favourite part – The Tavern.
You can order food and drinks while playing board games or if you’re lucky enough to score a booth, you can play Smash Bros or other co op console games.
Funlab Venues – Archie Bros., Holey Moley, Hijinx Hotel & B. Lucky & Sons.
These venues are activities, food & drink in one fun experience. There are a few venues around Melbourne, some are even combined. Holey Moley is pop culture themed minigolf, Archie Bros & B. Lucky are arcades, and Hijinx is made up of hugely interactive minigames.
The Sherlock Holmes Inn
A classic pub but themed after Sherlock Holmes & London. Found in the central city, down the stairs to a basement level. This restaurant has a great chicken parma and multiple beers on tap.
Mork – boutique hot chocolate
A small boutique chocolate store that was near our accommodation. The hot chocolate is divine! It’s rich, but you can choose the strength when you order.
