Surfers Paradise: Your Ultimate Gold Coast Adventure Awaits!

Surfer’s Paradise Beach View

The Gold Coast is a hotspot for tourism activities in Australia and Surfer’s Paradise sits at the heart of it.

Where to Stay on the Gold Coast

Check out hotels along the coast through Booking.com below:

For my trip, I stayed at Mantra Legends Hotel. A decent hotel, good location and friendly service.

Getting around the Gold Coast

Ubers are available in this area but there’s so much to do within walking distance around Surfer’s Paradise in particular.

Food & Drink in the Gold Coast

Alma

This became my favourite sport for breakfast. Alma sits on the boulevard in front of the beach, with plenty of outdoor seating. It has a menu full of flavour.

Steampunk

This steampunk themed bar had some of the most spectacular cocktails I’ve come across. Check out their menu here – Many of the drinks are garnished with dry ice so be sure to follow server instructions and consume them safely.

There’s a cool gimmick to have a photo printed on either the Popcorn Whiskey Sour or the Lusty Strumpet.

Sights & Activities in the Gold Coast

Whale Watching with Charter Boat Yachts

I was amazed that it was possible to see whales in the distance from the beach at Surfers Paradise, and there are multiple options for whale watching up close. We went with charter boat yachts. The cruise lasted a little under two hours.

Dracula’s Cabaret

Took a tram to the end of the line for a nightlife experience like no other – Dracula’s cabaret comes with a three course meal, over the duration of a three act performance – comedy, circus, songs – you’ll never be able to guess what you’re in for.

Padlockd Escape Rooms / Otherworlds

There are so many escape rooms around Surfers paradise but I really recommend padlockd – They have over 16 different themed escape rooms across multiple locations within walking distance and the Carnival room we completed was one of the biggest and best I’ve ever done. You also get to collect pins as you complete escape rooms!

They also have another puzzle solving experience called The Cursed Passage – this one works a little differently, as you move through different rooms to accumulate points by solving puzzles. Live actors also make this experience so much scarier too

Thanks for joining me on my journey!
