I’m planning a trip to attend EDC Thailand! The festival is being held at Rhythm Park in Phuket and this is where I’ll be updating my post as I plan. It will eventually turn into the blog for the trip!
Planning a trip to Phuket, Thailand
I use Wanderlog to dump my ideas into and then start booking activities closer to the time. More activities booked in advance means not having to include it in the budget once I’m there #GirlMath. But really, this app is great because you can get a visual of where things are on the map, and how much it all costs. The budget breakdown even converts the currencies used to one of your choice.
Getting Tickets to EDC Thailand
There are 3 sites to purchase tickets through.
If you’re from USA or Canada, you can use Frontgate.
If you’re from anywhere else (like me), you can use either EventPop or Megatix.
We purchased ours through Megatix due to their availability at the time. However, we realised that Megatix only offers tickets and box collection at the venue during the event while EventPop offers a delivery option via DHL courier.
Getting to Phuket
We’ll be flying from somewhere within Thailand, most likely Bangkok, after attending Tomorrowland in Pattaya.
To get an idea of flight costs from New Zealand or if you feel like booking through Trip.com check out the below:

Food & Drink
One of my favourite things to research is interesting bars, especially ‘hidden’ ones.
Other than that, trying street food in Asia is always a must.
Sights & Activities in Phuket
We’re still researching activities around Phuket. I like to use Get Your Guide to book tours and entry fees in advance:
Thanks for joining me on my journey!
I would love comments of any recommendations on food to try, bars to find, and activities that are a must!
I will also be planning more travel around Southeast Asia – so check out my planning for that and my previous journeys to Ho Chi Minh & Da Nang in the mean time!
